Praise God! Our year has been off to a great start. Check out a few of the amazing huddles from around the county! Thanks to all the student leaders, parents, and staff who make these run so smoothly. Keep loving people well and sharing the Good News of Jesus!🙏🏻
‼️ August FCA Athlete of the Month- Dax Gomez from Green Mountain @daxgomez23

Dax on FCA: “FCA has impacted my life in many ways. Before I was going to FCA weekly I didn’t know God. I was encouraged to go to FCA because Dustin was my long jumping coach and he said he thought I would like it. I went for a couple weeks and immediately began to make it something I want to strive for. Not only striving for FCA but a relationship with Jesus and our Lord. It’s been a long windy road since then but, no doubt FCA has had an eventful impact on my faith.”

#ReachtheTruth. In February, we talked about what it means to Pray The Truth. Prayer connects us to God and others, comforts us in times of distress and conforms us to the image of Jesus Christ. The closer we come to God, the more we want to stay in His presence. This month, we dig into what it looks like to Reach For Truth and find others who will hold us accountable in our faith journey.

#PraytheTruth. With March starting on Monday, we will begin a new focus for #PursueTruth. For our last post in #PraytheTruth, we thought we could end with how Christ commands us to pray. Lord, Your will be done. You, Lord, know what we need before we ask.

#PraytheTruth. This is such a convicting quote because we don’t always do this well, but let’s think of our prayer life as a thermometer for our spiritual life overall. If we aren’t in prayer with our Father, think about why. What holds me back from making my heart known to the Lord who cares for me?
#FCAPursue #dailyprayer #inspirationalquotes #PursueTruth #prayerwarrior

Big announcement! Get excited for this year’s annual ministry theme, Pursue. Every coach and athlete is pursuing something: earning a scholarship, winning a championship or landing a contract. As the stakes rise, the drive behind that pursuit intensifies. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but what if pursuing those things ultimately isn’t healthy or good for us in the long run? Join us this year as we dive into pursuing the things of God. 1 Timothy 6:11.

In this time of societal chaos, we hope that you are reminded that we have a MGHTY and POWERFUL God who can handle our concerns and our doubts!
It is not a bad thing to wrestle With God - The Psalms are filled with those who cry out to God in desperation, frustration, doubt and anger
(Psalm 13:1-6, Psalm 35:17-18, Psalm 42:9-11). Our God is big enough to take it. He can handle it. So talk to Him.
Then notice in each of these passages that the writer concludes by praising God. As we reflect on who God is, all that He has done for us up to this season, our talents and skills, His never-ending grace and love…may we find comfort in this heavenly perspective.

Coach of the Month!
Our Jeffco coach of the month this month is Ashleigh Ackerman. She is the assistant woman’s basketball coach for Colorado School of Mines.
Ashleigh lives out the definition of the 3D Coach. She cares about her players on and off the court taking great initiative to pour into them. Motivated by her own relationship with the Lord, she has a burden to share Jesus with those on her team and other coaches around her. I see her inviting coaches to Bible studies, finding creative ways to share truth, and an overall boldness. Oh and her team is playing really well right now.
Congrats coach, we as Jeffco FCA truly appreciate what you’re doing to further the gospel!
Welcome back from break, FCA! We hope you all had such a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year!
We are eager to get 2020 kicked off, if you have not yet attended an FCA at your school and are interested, shoot us a message and we can get you linked to the right people!
GOD BLESS!
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
Good luck on your finals Jeffco! We are proud of you for working hard and finishing strong! Praying for sound minds and high energy!
