John Adam is the Multi-Area Director for Greater Denver FCA. He is a certified 3Dimensional Coaching trainer with 21 years of high school and middle school coaching experience. John is a product of FCA - through an FCA coaches huddle in 2006, God clarified his identity in Jesus Christ which realigned his purpose in life. He loves helping other coaches and athletes in the same process. When he’s not working, John enjoys golfing and fishing. He met his Athletic Trainer wife when he tore his ACL in a pickup game. They have been married over twenty years and have a son who will soon be graduating from high school.
Hannah Cole is the FCA Campus Representative at the University of Colorado. She graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2016 where she competed on the cross country and track and field teams. While her athletic performance was not awe-inspiring, her time was well spent as she experienced God in a very real way through the discipleship of a faithful coach. Since moving to Colorado to join staff with FCA in January 2018, she has been working to make disciples of Jesus Christ among the athletes at CU Boulder. When she’s not working, you are most likely to find her enjoying the great outdoors, reading a book, or occasionally doing both at the same time. She is passionate about sharing the Gospel and her life with the people around her.
JB Hall Sr. is the Area Representative for Boulder/Broomfield County. He has been in his position for over 12 years and is responsible for encouraging, training, equipping, and evangelizing coaches and athletes. JB believes that growing the Kingdom of God is most important and he does it with the passion and love of Christ in all he does and in his interactions with staff, students, coaches, school administration and local churches. He has over 30 years of coaching experience and played at a high level. JB received a word from God stating that he was to get off the sidelines and coach for His glory. He was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He married his high school sweetheart, they raised two collegiate student athletes, and recently became grandparents. Outside of FCA, he loves to be with his family and enjoys hunting, fishing and serving others.
Libby Noeth is the Collegiate Director at Colorado School of Mines. She played softball at Wheaton College and immediately transitioned into coaching high school softball and full time youth ministry. From an early age it was apparent to her that sports, coaches, and teammates can have a big impact on a person's faith, which drew her into FCA. You can see her light up as she talks about how Mines students are growing into world changing, missionary-engineers! When she isn't on the Mines campus you can find her coaching CrossFit or exploring the Colorado mountains with her husband, Tyson. Libby was coaching a CrossFit class when she first met Tyson, confirming that coaches can make a great impact on an athlete's life!
Sophie Bushong is the Campus Director at the University of Denver. Sophie enjoyed several sports growing up, but lacrosse was what she gave most of her time to. Growing up in the church, and being blessed with parents who loved the Lord, much of her childhood included being poured into and discipled by godly people. Youth pastors, small group leaders, and FCA mentors all took the time and invested in her life. FCA has been the perfect avenue to be on the other side of the equation now--discipling athletes and creating places for genuine fellowship and mentoring to occur. While performance in athletics is necessary to achieve goals and attain victory, it can completely stifle a genuine walk with Christ among a body of believers. In experiencing this herself, Sophie seeks to work from a place of humility and integrity--where the gospel instead of our own works or performance are put on display. There's nothing more freeing than realizing Christ died for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). Living in Colorado allows for a fun and active lifestyle that Sophie takes advantage of...someone has to keep up with these college athletes!
David has been on staff with FCA for over five years serving as an Area Representative for Arapahoe County. David spends most of his time engaging, equipping and empowering local coaches and athletes across several high schools. In addition, David works alongside local churches in developing initiatives to serve high school sports programs. Before coming on staff with FCA, David was an elementary PE teacher for over four years teaching young kids the importance of activity. Outside of FCA, David enjoys playing golf, wrestling with his three children and going on dates with his wife.
Joel Haywood is the Campus Representative at Colorado School of Mines. After playing 4 years of basketball at Concordia University, he moved back to Denver to start his career in business and coaching. During that time, God chipped away pieces of Joel's heart and placed a call into ministry on his life, which led him to accept his position with FCA in the Fall of 2018. He loves using the talents and abilities God has given him to impact the Kingdom by engaging and discipling college coaches and athletes. His knees (and jumpshot) aren't what they once were, so Joel has traded in his hoop shoes for bare feet and now spends most of his free time playing beach volleyball in Wash Park. Or eating Chipotle. Or both.
Kyle Mack is the Jefferson Country FCA Area Director. He has been on staff in Jeffco for 6 years and has currently led the Jeffco staff for the past 2 as they seek to fulfill a 10 year vision: that every coach and athlete have a chance to hear and respond to the Gospel through an FCA presence. He was hired in May of 2013, right after a perfectly mediocre career as a pitcher at Regis University in Denver, where he met his wife, Katie. They have been married for almost 6 years and have two boys, Brody (2) and Brooks (7 months). He fully intends to live vicariously through his sons as they seek full ride scholarships to college for baseball...or jazz flute. He lives an imperfect life tethered to the Rock of Jesus Christ and desires to bring authenticity and challenge to each relationship. Kyle is a product of FCA. He was saved at FCA his senior year at Highlands Ranch HS through the influence of a coach. His prayer is that each coach and each athlete in Jeffco has an opportunity to use their immense platform to influence the people around them for the Gospel.
Mariano Carbajal is the Area Representative for North Jefferson County and is responsible for overseeing eight high schools in this area. He is a four-year high school baseball letterman, two time all-state, and carried his team to two state championships and four final four's in the process. He played two years of college baseball at Regis University and Metro State University. He values integrity, honesty, and responsibility and this helps him lead himself, his family, and others well. He loves to run and build things with his hands outside of work. He loves his dog, Karly and his wife, Calah, tremendously; however, he is still trying to trick them both to love him back.
Taylor Flanagan is the South West Jefferson County Area Representative. She played basketball at Colorado Christian University for four years on a full ride scholarship. Taylor is extremely passionate about the ability to be a Christian AND playing sports at a high level because for so many years, she didn't know they could both be pursued. Taylor is an introvert that loves peaceful mornings and all the dark chocolate and coffee.
Tab Howell is the Area Director for the Boulder/Broomfield areas. In this position, he is responsible for the board development, staff development and financial development. As a previous collegiate level athlete, Tab knows firsthand the importance of the values and influence that coaches have on their players. With 14 years of pastoral experience, Tab also understands the importance of discipleship through one on one relationships and the benefits of building relationships between parachurch ministries and the local church. Tab loves to spend time with his beautiful wife Candace and his boys Noah and Titus.
Bryan Smith is the Area Representative for Douglas and Arapahoe Counties west of I-25. He works with athletic directors, coaches, athletes and volunteers to expand the footprint of Jesus Christ on school campuses. Bryan played collegiate basketball at William Jessup University formerly known as San Jose Christian College. He also played basketball in Australia for Youth for Christ. Before joining, FCA Bryan served the local church in youth ministry for over 30 years. He grew up in Southern California surfing and camping on the beach. He now enjoys the outdoors of Colorado. He has been married to his wife Joanie for 31 years and they have four children and one grandchild. Bryan loves the area he serves and has a vision to see every coach and athlete come to know the Lord.
Dustin Wanner is the Area Representative for Central Jefferson Country. He got married to his beautiful wife Katie, moved to Denver from Indiana, and was hired all in the eventful summer of 2018. He was a 3-sport athlete (football, basketball, baseball) in high school, eventually deciding to play football in college at Taylor University in Indiana. FCA has had a huge impact on Dustin before he was even born. His grandfather's life was changed as he accepted Christ at an FCA event in North Carolina. Dustin loves playing pickup basketball, obsessively watching the Indiana Hoosiers, and spending time with family and friends. Dustin fully believes that coaches and athletes have the biggest impact in schools and wants to help disciple and lead as many people as possible into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. He loves developing relationships with coaches, athletes, and partners throughout the Lakewood area and is excited to see where God leads his ministry in the future!
